Here are some examples of my work, from small shelving units to fully fitted kitchens, each designed with careful attention to detail and functionality. I take pride in creating customized solutions that not only meet the specific needs of my clients but also enhance the overall aesthetic of their homes. Whether it’s maximizing storage in a compact area or designing a kitchen that becomes the heart of the home, my work reflects a blend of creativity and practicality.
Fitted Full Height Bookcases
To replace flatpack bookcases with fitted units. This project is made of standard mdf board which was painted on site by secondary contractors. This is a fitted unit, ie it fully encloses the space it occupies; with cut [or scribed] panels to the sides. This gives more of an integrated feel and also covers unusable gaps, which tend to gather dust.
The shelves are fixed at heights pre-agreed with the client.

As can be seen by the photo cutouts were provided for electricians to install double sockets into the cabinets after the joinery was installed.
Fitted Full Height Bookcases
This design of a full height bookcase maximises the storage capacity of the alcoves while preserving the profile and character of the chimney breast. It transforms any space into a delightful showcase, allowing books and cherished items to shine while maintaining a harmonious balance with the room’s architecture. By utilising vertical space in such an uplifting way, this bookcase not only enhances organisation but also adds a touch of elegance and charm.

These fitted units replaced existing fixed shelves on brackets. A partition wall panel was required to cover the partially open right side.

Floating Shelves
Floating shelves leave as much of the original features intact as possible, thereby maximizing both the feeling of space and storage within a room. These innovative shelves create a seamless look as they don’t require side panels or scribes, allowing for a clean and uncluttered aesthetic. The design also elevates the visual appeal of any space, making it appear more open and inviting.

These shelves are, of course, not adjustable once installed, which means that careful consideration should be taken during the planning process to ensure they meet all functional and aesthetic needs.

Oak Veneered Bookcase
To replace a free standing bookcase with a cabinet that maximized the space between kitchen worktop and existing cupboards. This fitted unit is made of oak veneered board, which is finished with a clear oil to protect from wear and tear whilst preserving the colour of the oak.
The shelves are easily adjustable in height using shelving pins. Shelving can also be fixed if needed.

Bass Trap Panels
The client was converting a small room in his house into a voice recording studio. Standard acoustic foam was used for absorbing mid and higher frequency sounds but something else was needed for the lower frequencies. The panels were built using the design created by Hugh Robjohns & Paul White – Bass Trap Panels

The traps used a high-density Rockwool slab at the back, with a hanging curtain of felt and barrier mat which are left to hang freely within the panel, and can thus move slightly to absorb low-frequency energy.
Planters from up-cycled pallet wood
The Hide Bar wanted some planters to make their street facing windows more attractive. They approached the team at Lend and Tend who do all sorts of excellent work like this. They realised that purpose made planters would be needed here since the window was such an unusual shape and so they contacted me. The upcycled pallet wood seemed a good choice, since it has a lovely varied texture and the herringbone design has a strong sense of movement about it and is quite striking.

Heavy duty pond-liner plastic sheeting was used to protect the inside of the planters, we cut holes in them at the bottom to allow for drainage. The wood was treated with a varnish to protect it from the elements.
